SOL Group
Since 1911 and as of today — we always strive to identify the best possible solutions in the most efficient, possible way. Making a difference for our customers is what we regard as good business — for all parties involved and for the environment.
Today we are a shipping and logistics group transporting cargo all over the world. Our operations include tramp and liner shipping with LoLo ships between Scandinavia and the Baltics to the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as worldwide project cargoes and defence logistics.
SOL is also the majority shareholder in the logistics company Scanlog, specialized in international transport by rail, sea, car and air. Additionally, SOL owns together with Wallenius Lines, the shipping company WALLENIUS SOL, which operates a container and RoRo liner service from the Gulf of Bothnia to and from the continent and the UK.
Our various business areas work together to identify further benefits for our customers and as entrepreneurs we always embrace new opportunities.
SOL is a privately owned company through J.A Kjellberg & Söner and is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Our breakbulk services offer year-round operation including tramp and semi-liner shipping with geared LoLo ships between Scandinavia and the Baltics to the Eastern Mediterranean. Our competitive offer has been based on our experienced and dedicated employees combined with the highest ice-classed vessels for the 100 years we have been operating.
TransProCon
TransProCon is a market leading player in project cargoes as well as within defence logistics. Thanks to owned and commercially controlled RoRo and LoLo ships, cutting edge operational expertise, innovative technical solutions and a broad network of contacts, TransProCon has built up a transportation portfolio covering the most remote and complicated destinations.

WALLENIUS SOL
WALLENIUS SOL was established in 2019 when Wallenius Lines and the Swedish Orient Line formed a joint shipping company to strengthen the infrastructure at the Gulf of Bothnia and the Baltic Sea. WALLENIUS SOL is an innovative shipping company with its sight set on a sustainable future with regular scheduled container and RoRo liner traffic between northern Scandinavia, the Continent and the United Kingdom.

Sustainability
At the same time as we solve complex transport assignments for our customers, we also have a strong focus on contributing to a more sustainable world. There are different sustainability perspectives, all of which are important and in need of balance. When these are in balance, they also create conditions for each other. We acknowledge that our core business will have an impact on the environment. Our efforts focus on emissions into the air, pollution to water and waste handling. Reducing our negative climate footprint and environmental impact is crucial for our future. The transition together with our customers and partners has only just begun.
Cargoes
It all starts with the cargo. For our customers’ cargo and its safety, effective transportation is all-important. We create solutions that add value and make a difference, regardless of the type of cargo we are asked to handle.
In our project services we handle worldwide industrial and military equipment cargo including dangerous goods.
Our breakbulk cargo includes sawn timber and other forestry products, steel, bentonite, minerals, fertilizers and salt, but also project cargoes such as windmill blades, windmill towers and pipes.-
Solutions
Development
SOL has +100 years of experience developing our business after customers’ needs, which involves land and sea and sometimes additional functions such as site engineering. This may for example include rigging and sliding heavy and/or oversized components.
